Plenty here to wrap your brain around and groove!!

From the opening sounds of the very authentic sounding Victrola and scratchy 78 record, through the complex first song that kicks in, and all the way through to the authentic sounding end of the record ... the listener is lead on a fantastic sonic journey. There is nowhere on this entire CD that this band sits back on any basic three chord progression and stuffs the album full of filler songs. Many layers of depth and substance await. Each song on here has a lot of variety in all aspects. Suitably complex enough for fans of Rush, Genesis, YES and Pink Floyd, there is plenty here to wrap your brain around and groove. Great flexibility with presenting more than just the progressive style of music as the disc played further. A nice visit in track 3, 'In A Society' to more of a folk roots of rock feel and mood, but without losing that hard edge intensity. Very unique recording in track 4, 'The Love I Have' giving the very real illusion of a phone call midsong is a good example that this production was much more than a band showing up in a studio and playing some songs. There has been a lot of planning here, from the songs themselves through the exciting sound engineering and exceptional recording. Arrangements are all steller and this disc is a fabulous addition to any collection. Very unique and nothing is predictable. My particular favorite song on this disc is track 6, 'Goodbye'. In this song, Kurt Tischer has brought forth his profound compositional skills, and orchestration mastery, and showcased it with seamless edits from a movie soundtrack as well as real life events such as footsteps walking away, and a car driving off... once again, not ever dropping the intensity of the underlying haunting musical bed. It's a poignant portrayal of the wilted petals of the rose of love as they crumble from the stem. Simply stunning. It's a 'must have', and I am glad I bought this!! P.S. This is only the short version, as per asked by the CD baby site.
