Great CD!!!

This CD should have been dedicated to all of us who have been mourning over the move of classic metal out of the limelight and the advent of grunge and alternative rock. This band plays TRUE classic metal--straight from the early 80s! Soaring leads, tight rhythm section, strong vocals, and a heart for Jesus Christ makes this band worthy to be heard. This is from PA. Musician Reviews August 2003 by Alex Greenberg.(WOLVES CD)
With the current line up of core members Anne and Bob Kachline on bass and drums respectively and guitarist/lead vocalist Bill Hunt, X-TERRA is clearly a band of veteran metal craftsmen(and woman). This current power trio seems to contain the right mix of talent to throw down the driving, flying right-wrist classic metal riffs(Wolves, Calm Before the Storm, and the excellent I've Had Enough), and yet back it up with the occasional mid tempo power ballad We All Need a Hand to Hold, where, incidentally, I loved Hunt's lead work). The lyrical content is substantial as well, with celebrations of redemption and warnings about failing to acheive it. and excellent obsevations, including the Kachlines' wonderful lyric about one of the universe's truely irrefutable truths: You can sell anything if you package it right(Sell Anything). Containing 13 songs that spam the spectrum from ballads through more accessible melodic metal(The Sun Will Shine Again) into faster, riff laden almost speed metal, Wolves is a testimony to X-TERRA'S command of their sub-genre.
