XUMANTRA is a continuing recording and performance project created by Marco Dolce, and represents a fusion of his musical and spiritual paths. Marco is an accomplished musician and composer with decades of recording and performing experience, as well as decades of study in music theory, jazz and classical guitar, world rhythmic and spiritual music traditions, sound healing, the metaphysics of sound energy, and world religions and spiritual traditions, including studies in Tibetan Buddhism and Native American shamanism. Marco studied music theory and jazz improvisation at Rutgers University, and Afro-Cuban percussion at the Drummer’s collective in New York City. In addition to his musical activities, Marco is a dedicated organic gardener and herb grower.
Along the way, Marco has assembled an impressive collection of master-quality Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, and other indigenous instruments from sacred sound traditions around the world, with which he has created six beautiful recordings for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.
