Yanju has a striking style and grace, the like of which I have rarely heard.
Imagine Daft Punk hired an experience Nigerian percussionist to play with them and a choir came along with the deal. Add lyrical potency and impressive arrangements to the mix and you may have some idea as to what Yanju is. Political and personal. Serious and fun. Highly recommended.

"IWA" is the hit, but there's more to discover!

Yanju's CD IWA comes with a very deep and sincere objective: to make you think AND feel. The tracks "Lonely Woman" and "Africa Arise" made me stop and listen to my heart. The album is a afro house dance record, but doesn't fall in the trap of being just "beats" with an afro touch. The soulful voice of Yanju climbes, and aimes, higher than that. The catchy IWA is the hit, but there's a lot more to discover.
