Album Notes

The Keith Yaun Quintet plays modern jazz while still retaining a strong sense of traditional improvisation.

The players, who include ECM recording artists Mat Maneri, and John Lockwood, bring a sense of intense interaction and melodic poignancy to the music. Keith's Jazz guitar playing has been described as reminiscent of Jim Hall, but his free approach/ soloing style is well defined and distinctly his own. Drummer John McLellan and saxophonist Nathan Cook round out the sound with their keen insticts and sense of spontaniety.

The Keith Yaun Quintet are a musical journey through realms of jazz, wistful and multi textured....Maybe we haven't heard it all before.

The Quintet plays regularly in NYC, Boston and throughout the Northeast
