Album Notes

Singer/songwriter Roger Yeardley, was credited with 'pioneering the idea locally' (Rick Bird, Cincinatti Post) of bringing together many renowned local musicians in a local music project with his first CD, Sheepless In Cincinnati (Cincinnati artists play the songs of Roger Yeardley)

How he's releasing the sequel, Roger Yeardley's Communal Effort (a.k.a. Son of Sheepless).

This offspring CD, is similar but slightly different than the first Sheepless album.

It still features great performances by local musicians playing Roger's eclectic mix of rock and blues songs.

However, there is an emphasis on individual artists rather than bands and more participation by Roger(vocals, guitar, bass, organ).

Roger, credited as being 'one of Cincinnati's best known and most successful songwriters' (Jim Knippenberg, Cincinatti Enquirer), appreciates being part of a creative and varied Cincinnati music community which has a communal feeling.

'That's one of the things that I enjoy about the Cincinnati music scene, ' says Yeardley. 'Everybody gets to know everybody else. There is a more cooperative feeling rather than a cutthroat thing.' (Cincinatti Post).

Roger has been featured on international compilation CDs (The Greatest Indie Artists In the World, Vols.1 & 3 - Texas Twister Radio Records), on regional compilations (Shades of Blue II, Our Music '99, Synesthesia, Another Day), and his songs have had interest from national TV shows such as 'King of the Hill'.

He has performed with many area bands, opened the Cincinnati Bluesfest, and his songs have received regional and international airplay.
