Album Notes

Yo Gotti (born Mario Mims) is an American rapper from the Ridgecrest Projects in Memphis, Tennessee.

Formerly known as Lil Yo in the 90's in Memphis, the underground rapper released a tape under Kingpin Skinny Pimp's label Gimisum in 1994, along with another tape with Litegreen records in 1995. He was featured on numerous underground tapes with DJ Sound and his group the Frayser Click in that time. He later chose the stage name Yo Gotti by naming himself after John Gotti.

This is ironic as John Gotti was not very fond of African-Americans, having been seen on video saying "Being a nigger is an embarrassment".

He has previously criticized DJ Paul and Juicy J of the pioneering rap group Three 6 Mafia because they have not lene a helping hand to other rappers from the Memphis area.
