Album Notes

Over a period of ten years, Yoko was a frequent visitor at our home in Berkeley. She stayed with us for a week at a time, giving private lessons all day to devoted students, then hosted a "playing class" on Saturday evening at which each student performed. She also encouraged us in our own performance ventures, and helped organize visiting concerts of well-known artist, including Araki Kodo, the Los Angeles Gagalen group, and Fujii Kunie from Japan. We have put together this collection to honor her memory, in gratitude for her teaching and devotion. We dedicate the CD to Yoko's daughter Joemy.
