Yolonda Troupe-Williams
Biography


Minister,Singer, Songwriter, and Praise & Worship leader, Yolonda Troupe-Williams was born in Columbus, Mississippi to the parents, Mr. & Mrs. Jessie Troupe. At the age of 6 she was blessed with the gift to sing and was a member of many choirs throughout her youth. By the time she reached high school, she knew that she really enjoyed singing. It was during these years that she began taking vocal lessons under the guidance of Dr. LaGrande, at Mississippi University for Women. She continued singing while in college. As a member of the world-renowned Rust College A'cappella choir, in Holly Springs, MS, she was blessed to travel all over the United States; Brussels, Belgium; London, England; Amsterdam, Holland; and Paris, France.

In 1983, she received her B.S. Degree in Computer Science and left Rust to attend Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS. She continued her vocal studies and became a member and soloist of the Black Voices, a gospel group at MSU. She also participated in the Miss MSU pageant and won the talent competition. In 1986 she received a Master of Art Degree in teaching Computer Science. In 1987, she formed Yolonda Troupe-Williams and Faith and praised God throughout Mississippi and Louisiana. In 1988, she was blessed to become a charter member of the Mississippi Mass Choir and performed in Greece; at the Apollo Theater in New York City; and on the Bobby Jones Show. She also performed at the Sunflower Gospel & Blues Festival, Mississippi Day in Atlanta, GA, and many places throughout the United States. Yolonda was married to Alphounce Thomas Williams, Jr. in 1986.
From that union they have two sons, Tolden (15) and Alphounce (6).

GOD used Yolonda's love of singing for the Lord, her past of teaching Computer Science in the community college for 17 years, her attendance in the Interdenominational School of Ministry, her caring for her family, her answering the call to the ministry,and her relationship with him to shape and mold her as a woman of GOD.
Her project "All of Him and None of Me" is a testimony of her growing relationship with the Lord. It consists of urban, traditional, contemporary & southern gospel pieces penned by Yolonda Troupe-Williams, Percy and Jeral Gray & Anthony Tidwell. This album is an anointed collection that will inspire you to begin or deepen your relationship with God.

Yolonda believes that whatever you need, God's got it. God is more than enough to help us make it today. God is all things to all people. Her formula for success is; Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You; Live To Please God; and He Will Bless You To Be A Blessing To Someone Else Through Our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ.
