ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
BenYomen is a modern day beat poet born in the last year of the Orwellian callendar. At a young age he became fascinated with the Hip Hop culture and all of its facetts. Through his music he hopes to bridge gaps between cultures and generations. To spread the word of peace, beauty and oneness through the rawest form of communication that has existed since ancient times...ART. With a sense of wonder and intrigue, Ben explores this broken world over break beats and bass lines. BenYomen has performed concerts across the Western United States, received air play from over 75 college radio stations across the U.S. and Canada (CMJ's ..4 most added hip hop record August 2004), rocked 1 day of The Vans Warped Tour, and has shared stages with many of hip hop's more modern greats such as The Living Legends, Galapagos4, Glue, The Dorian Three, Non Phixion, Mr. Brady, The Shapeshifters, The Chicharones, Zion I, Wasted Talent Crew, LFTB, The Crux, The Mole, Demune, Morbone, Jroz & Ethos, Scream Club, MERL, Identical Opposites, and more...

Unlike no other...
Ben Yomen goes beyond his genre and reaches out to everyone. The positive attitude and clear sound make this an album you can listen to time and time again. He just keeps getting better, I truly can't wait to hear what comes next!

Ben Yomen and the LifeForTheBetter crew graced the presence of the Whittier College Radio, KPOET 88.5FM, Philidelphia, Cook Up Series on two occasions. These boys are a full of loveable, amiable personalities and sure knows how to hype their music. With any music related opportunity that BenYomen has, be sure to know the LFTB entourage is not far away. LFTB formed a while back and still keeps their social awareness intact. Although they are the first to let you know that they are a part of the best of L.A.’s underground hip hop, there is not an arrogant bone within the entire mob. They will let you know that their music is good, that they had to struggle to get where they are now, and they’ll bust out freestyles if you still refuse to believe. BenYomen bluntly states that he is “just trying to make a difference. We just feel this world needs to change the eternal wars in people. I’m rapping to make people feel a different way, see it in a different way.” BenYomen challenges his listeners to recognize the need to stop violence and the need to take an active stance in political decisions. Through his poetry-like lyrics and unique delivery, his passion and hard work shines through. Circles in Which We Walk paved the way, but BenYomen’s second release Headphones Hum and Spraycans Rattle proves that he’s here to stay.

POSITIVE UNDERGROUND IN THE KEY OF HELL YEAH
You gotta love Ben's positive style and various styles of beats... I don't usually frequent the hip hop stylings... But this guy's got me hooked... Now I am into more underground music than I can begin to state... If you haven't seen him live you are missing out... The energy keeps your head bobbing all night and then if you get a chacne to actually speak with him, you'll find he's very intelligent and really down to earth... I'd almost call him a Hippie Homie...

Let the good times roll and then keep them high by rolling another and listening to HEAD PHONES HUM!!!!!!!!!

Keep your headphones on!!!!!!!!!

Later daze....
