About Young Agent Jones -- There is an honesty and poetry that can only be found in rock and roll perfected from years on the dive bar circuit. The four distinct songwriters of Young Agent Jones have done just that -- creating a sound that is familiar yet undeniably their own. Combining British Invasion vocal harmonies, dual lead guitars, 80's pop sensibility, and garage rock intensity, YAJ delivers musical complexity with pure rock and roll abandon.
Considering that Young Agent Jones have released three albums and performed together for over 10 years, they are not a typical regional band. Their first album ranked in the top 150 on the CMJ national college radio chart. They were invited to perform at the Sun Studios 50th Anniversary of Rock and Roll concert in Memphis, Tennessee. Numerous festival appearances and regular tours have taken YAJ from their hometown of Starkville, Mississippi, to destinations including Atlanta, Nashville, Austin, Chicago, Baltimore, and Tampa Bay. In addition, they have donated their talents to charitable causes including the Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund, the USO, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the American Cancer Society, various arts and academic societies, and organizing a benefit concert for Hurricane Katrina victims.
All in all, Young Agent Jones is a band that loves what it does.
