Album Notes

YOYO BREAKERS was created at the
end of 2007, with the participation of
experimented Mexican rock musicians,
even though the result is closer to an
electronic party. This is pure instinct, in
other words, their music isn ́t grounded
to any musical gender, with a very special
force based on rhythm and simplicity in
their message.
In the beginning this band was formed
by UGO RODRIGUEZ, YURI GONZALEZ,
BOLA DOMENE and GIL TAPIA. They
started composing and rehearsing without
a fixed guitarist until JANKO RODRÍGUEZ
joined in January of 2009. A series of concerts
began to take place before they started
recording in 3er Piso Records’ Studios
to work on their first album named NEW
OLDER, composed by 7 English spoken
songs
DON ́T BE CHEAP is the single that ́s
already being played in the radio all over
the country. YOYO BREAKERS has some
invitations to be part of the line-up in
festivals around Europe and North America
for summer 2009.


tHe BAND
UGO RODRIGUEZ Singer and
composer, was born in Guadalajara. His
career was developed with the band AZUL
VIOLETA, which made 4 records. The
international reach of this project included
touring around Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru,
Panamá and USA, from 1994-2005. During
the next years he made several projects
including his own as a solo artist. This year
(2008) he participated in the rock opera José Fors's
DR FRANKENSTEIN .

YURI GONZALEZ Bass player and
composer, was born in Toluca. He
participated with AZUL VIOLETA, from
1994 to 1999. After that, he created the
electronic music project FAT NAKED
LADY. With that band he toured around
Europe, including important music capitals
like Rome, Barcelona, Paris and London
among others.

BOLA DOMENE Drummer and
composer, was born in Guadalajara.
Among his most relevant projects you can
include LA LUPITA, ROSTROS OCULTOS,
AZUL VIOLETA, and SANGRE AZTECA.
These projects took him to international
tours from 1989 until 2006.
GIL TAPIA Keyboard player, was born
in Mazatlán, Sinaloa. He worked with the
Project MEDUSA until 2005.
SERGIO DE ANDA Guitarist was born
in Guadalajara. He had played with several
bands like DISFORIA, PAOLA VERGARA
and GASTÓN.
