Album Notes

Original Compositions Vol. 4
-------
Some of the world's most beautiful, relaxing music to refresh your soul. Composed and played by a young lady who is musically way beyond her physical age, this is Yuko's fourth CD of her original compositions. "My favorite way to compose a new song is by imagining a scene, like in a movie, with my song playing in the background. Or, I think about a person and then write a song for them."

Yuko's love for music began before she could even talk, as she played on a toy piano. At age 6, she received her first formal piano lessons and at age 8 composed her first song. By age 15, Yuko had composed over 60 songs and performed many concerts in her home town of Nagoya, Japan, and in several other countries. With 10 CDs to her credit at age 17, Yuko's Original Compositions Volume 4 CD contains her most recent compositions.

Yuko won a scholarship to study at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, USA, starting with her Sophomore year in high school, and will graduate this year (2005). This CD contains two songs that Yuko composed and performed in a live concert at the IAA, along with three of her classmates. The flute in "Snow Waltz" was played by Phillip Kim, while Fidelina Yamaoka played the piano. The violin in "A Song For Violin And Piano" was played by Farhad Hudiyev.

This is one of the best CDs that I have ever heard. The music is absolutely beautiful with a quality that I have never heard before; and to think that all of this music came from someone so young. I could listen to this CD forever.

Yuko's compositions, performance, and the emotions conveyed in her music are unbelievable at her tender age. I've been playing both of her composition disks constantly since they arrived. Yuko has a gift from God!
