Album Notes

Yuko Ueyama was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Her talents are multifaceted and impressive in all areas as a musician, a singer, songwriter, arranger and producer. In 1987, she graduated from Berklee College of Music with a major in Commercial Arranging. Afterwards, she immediately became a co-arranger and assistant for renown arranger and producer, Richard Evans - Grammy Award Winner for Natalie Cole's album Sophisticated Lady. In 1996, she first expressed her musical talents with the release of her first entitled, "Woman In Love," and with her single debut entitled, "Daiya-no-yubiwa."

In December 2005, Yuko released her second album entitled, "Aigasubete" - a collection of work collaborated over the period of the last 10 years, with the last 4 years commuting from Japan to LA to collaborate with talented composer, arranger and producer, Larry Ball. Throughout this album, Yuko’s talents are well expressed as a performer, writer, arranger and co-producer. Her songs have a colorful style – utilizing a cool and funky blend of smooth grooves and melodic phrases
