Album Notes

Described as a mixture of the oddities and gusto of PJ Harvey, the lush vocals of Mazzy Star and addictive hooks of Magnapop, The Yum Yum Tree has been spawned in Atlanta, GA by Texas raised Andy Gish.

Named one of Atlanta best live acts of 2001, The Yum Yum Tree serves up their own distinctive sound that offers something you can really sink your teeth into.

Beautiful yet jagged. Andy has a beautiful voice and is a brilliant song writer. The supporting Musicians augment Andy's melodic songs without overshadowing her vision. After typing this I'm buying their second Disk, as should You. A must for true music aficionado's.

I was searching in CD BABY's stock for something that sounds like Throwing Muses. And I found something that sounds a lot better than Throwing Muses! It is a great mixture of catchy tunes that hit you the first time you listen ("Bad Idea", "Infusion"), and songs that you have to learn to understand. This one never gets boring, even after listening over and over for weeks! A must for all fans of alternative female-fronted rock!
