Album Notes

This is my first Album, the fruit of many years of learning and experimenting with different sounds and ideas that I wanted to convey through music. In particular, I tried to share with you my love for life and my thankfulness for many hard lessons and blessings. Even through tough times, I knew of the power of music and how it has always motivated me to overcome large obstacles, including leaving my family and friends behind in pursuit of my dreams in a different country.

Dreams Of Amethyst is the title of this short album. To me, the Amethyst crystal symbolizes the human mind, through which we perceive all reality and live our lives until the final transition of death. This is my attempt to put into sounds the experience of that. I hope you enjoy it and find it moving you in a positive direction. Now, a little about myself...

Yuni had her first experience in music when she performed as a flute player in a series of concerts at a Montessori school in Mexico. She was later accepted into the National Conservatory Of Music (a member of the National Institute for the Fine Arts). It's here that she was trained in classical music as an Opera Singer. Through her dedication and talent, Yuni was granted a full scholarship. In addition to her classical studies, she also complimented her education with private instruction from one of the best representatives of vocal jazz music in Mexico. Yuni has been part of the South Jersey music scene since 2008.
