Yuri attended the Harlem School of Arts and began modeling and dancing in New York City in the 90's working for various reputable modeling agencies.

A calling from the Judy Walsh Agency brought her to Toronto where Yuri made Canada her home in order to pursue her dream....singing.

Yuri's dream began to come true at a meeting with producer Michael Hanson of Aeroplane Records. Coupling the exceptional talent of Michael Hanson and the sensuality of Yuri's voice, recording began immediately. Dream My Way Out, SuperFragile and Different were born with echoing lyrics and sound.

As a young girl I knew music was and is my destiny. Watching people's reaction to the legendary music of Nat King Cole, Whitney Houston and Tina Turner, affirmed my passion for music. Music is powerful. It comes in many forms and can ignite many emotions. For me, music is the core of my being. It is my life.
