Exhilarating and hypnotic!
author: Peter - CD Baby Editor
This live recording perfectly captures the ecstasy and tranquility of Qawwali music, a form of traditional, mystical Sufi music dating back to 8th century Persia. Its timeless appeal couldn’t be more enchanting as the often wordless vocals and trance-like melodies capture your imagination and guide the listener over the hypnotic aural landscapes. It’s truly exhilarating stuff. Featuring the outstanding vocal talents of Najwa Gibran and special guest Sukhawat Ali Khan, a master qawwali singer from Pakistan. It’s rare to find music that is spine-tingling and rapturous; this album is full of those moments.
