Mrs. Perkins is a prolific songwriter gaining recognition all over the world. Her songs resonate with anointing and power to assist the true believer to tap into the presence of God. . Her songs are meant to draw the non believer to a place where they at least think on the name of Jesus and his mercy towards them. She believes that worship and praise are two of the most powerful but under used weapons of Christian warfare. All of her songs are demo meant to attract the attention of Gospel recording artists, publishers, TV and film industries that recognize music is another vehicle of ministry to reach people everywhere and to spread the Gospel. Song of the Year is an international songwriting contest supporting VH-1’s Save the Music Foundation. The Song of the Year judges are some of the biggest names in music including many Grammy Award winners. In May 2006 her song “The Master’s Hand” was selected as Runner Up song of the Month for May. Song of the Year is excited to recognize Yvonne Perkins for her exceptional songwriting ability for the song” Don’t Wreck The Train”. Mrs. Yvonne Perkins competed against songwriters from all over the world for this honor. Currently Yvonne is concentrating on her songwriting career while hoping to break forth in film, TV, movies licensing.
