Album Notes

At the age of 22, Yvon Serre formed the “Yvon Serre Groupe” , an outfit where he not only wrote all original material but
also wrote in his mother tongue of French. It was at a gig in Montreal at The Club Soda, they were spotted by producer
Denis Pantis who signed the group to his label (Les Disque Millionare /Rockbec) where the band released a single supported by more touring.For the making of the first album, Serre spent three memorable weeks in the studio with renowned producer Pierre "Baz" Bazinet. (Sass Jordan, Luba, Celine Dion etc.) It was during this time that he would learn the ropes in
production. During that period he wrote more than 100 songs!

C'est en 1981 qu' Yvon décide de composer en français, influencé par les groupes ,artistes Québequois : Offenbach , Aut' Chose , Plume Latraverse et Stephen Faulkner,qu ’ il écoutait pendant plusieurs année.A l’automne 81’ Yvon ce rendera a Montréal pour la première fois.Il y compose ca première chançon en francais“J’m’en criss” après 6 mois revients a Sturgeon Falls. Il compose une vingtaine de chançon et avec l'aide d' André Goulard et Arthur Paiement , Ils commence leurs répétitions pour quelques semaines avant de faire un enregistrement a la Télévision de Sudbury..producteur (john bradley) "Yvon Serre Group". Après plusieurs spectacles dans le nord de l' Ontario avec la représentation de Marcel Serré ils font trois mois de petit club dans la région de Sturgeon Falls. En janvier 1983 armer d’une quarantaine de chançons et beaucoup d’espoire, ils ce rendents a Montréal. Suite a un spectacle au Club Soda , il reçoit un appel d'un producteur nommé Denis Pantis. (Pantis est connue comme producteur d’artistes; Pagliaro, Michel Richard, Les Gants Blancs, etc..)Fait des enregistrement au Studio Pantis pour deux semaine,donne des show a Montreal, Sherbrook et autres.Signe un contrat, avec les disques Millionnaires (Rock Bec) et retourne a Sturgeon Falls .
