He's not faking...

Zac can do no wrong in my eyes. This album shows his true talent for lyrics writing for one. This is where it all began, and yes, his songwriting skills have grown since the release of this album, but this was definitely a good place to start. He screams charisma and bleeds talent from his fingertips. His harmonic sensibility is uncanny and he can shape a melody like no other.
Mr. Clark is definitely going far, and I am so glad I get to go along for the ride. Listen to Any Port in Storm, Options, Everything Else is Sewn Up Too Tight. Amazing. The Way it Sounds When No One's Listening is probably the most incredible track, and I never tire of hearing any of this album. Check out his EP too, you are in for ear pleasing enjoyment.

Vibrant, mature effort with provocative lyrics and completely hummable tunes!
author: Brent Hallenbeck
This is something else pretty unique for a local release- a top-flight pop-rock piano player, and a young one to boot. Zac Clark is an 18-year-old who just graduated from Essex High School, and "Faking Amnesia" is a vibrant, mature effort with provocative lyrics ("I keep this roman candle burning/Both ends dipped in gasoline/Because I'm all about routine") and completely hummable tunes. He mines songwriting territory similar to that of Hyde Park native Gregory Douglass, but comparisons to a less cheeky version of Ben Folds might be more apt.
