Zac grew up in LaGrange, AL, with his four sisters, mother and father. His family is full of talented musicians, singers and songwriters, who are all active in the music industry. Zac's father was one of the original Hacker Brothers. At the age of eight, Zac let his fingers do the walking on his first guitar. Not long after, Zac played with musician Gary Nichols, and both were involved with the first FAME Tuesday Music Club. In only two years, Zac has had the privilege to write with well-known singer and songwriters such as Robert Byrne (Two Dozen Roses, What I'd Say), Russell Smith (Third Rate Romance, Keep It Between The Lines), and Dave Gibson (Ships That Don't Come In, Queen of Memphis). FUN FACTS ON ZAC HACKER What are your personal goals? To influence people with my song lyrics, to take a negative and turn it into a positive, and to create a love that people will remember me by. Hobbies outside of music? Fishing, 4-Wheeler Riding, Horseshoes. The craziest or most daring thing I have ever done... I was called by Russell Smith, lead singer of the Amazing Rhythm Aces, to go out on the road for three days. I was given a very short time to learn their songs -- about 60 in all. I had to do it in the van on the way to the gig. Thank God it was a nine-hour trip.
