Album Notes

Based in New York City, this power trio has quickly become one of the freshest and most loyally followed bands in the Greenwich Village scene. Part pop, part rock and part jam band, The ZFB has endeared themselves to the local NYC college crowd with their monster jams, heart-on-the-sleeve lyrics and spontaneous interplay with the crowd. Singer/guitarist and San Diego transplant Fischer combines his witty, beach guy demeanor with killer guitar work and a voice that recalls everyone from Dave Matthews to Michael Stipe and Chris Martin of Coldplay. Surrounding him is the lockstep rhythm section of blues jam master bassist Alex Craven and drummer grrrrl extraordinaire LaFrae Olivia Sci, whose previous gigs include backing up Kelis, Seal, Cyndi Lauper and Trey Anastasio. Together, the ZFB delivers fist-pumping anthems that have made them live favorites, as well as the delicate ballads that are making them a name on national college radio. After opening for major label acts like Wakefield and Filomath, The Zach Fischer Band makes its headlining debut on the road this Fall.
