Welcome to Zadik’s premiere album
Zadik is world music combining the melodies of thousand-year-old Hebrew prayers with fresh reggae rhythms. The inspiration for Zadik was to make these prayers and songs resonate with contemporary listeners. The lyrics capture modern day meanings in the ancient verses and the beats make listeners want to sing along and dance.

“We Are One” was produced by Larry “Dr-Roots” Singer with the musical talents of 14 artists from around the world into one great new sounding Hebrew Reggae album. Singing lead vocals is Elan Atias from the legendary Wailers with Sareet singing back-up.

We composed each song to connect rhythms befitting the mantra of the prayer. Jamaican musicians came into the recording studio to lay down these rhythms, and then traditional instrumental soloists added their musical accompaniment.

I first became attracted to Elan Atias because of his work with The Wailers. When I approached him he was excited about Zadik. His authentic Orthodox Jewish life and powerful vocals added a huge impact to the sound and feel of the recordings.

The synergy of the many talented people involved has made Zadik greater than the sum of its parts—WE ARE ONE !!
