ZAHAR attempts to remain open to the variety, complexity and fragmentary range of human experience and emotion. While some tendencies will inevitably emerge, such as inclinations characteristic of rock music, the work strives to prevent itself from commitment to a singular theme or approach, instead experimenting with the expressive inspirations brought by the struggles, limitations, frustration, humor, disillusionment, ignorance, uncertainty, comfort, disgust, and so on, of its participants. The music of ZAHAR is the result of a confluence of influences, so the project strives neither to maintain itself within a specific genre of music nor to unify itself under a unified concept.
