ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The release of Question Mark marks the culmination a two-year period of writing and performing these and many other tunes in clubs and jazz festivals throughout the mid-atlantic.

It also marks a new beginning with Russell and Steve. I've know Russell since the late 90's but had never had the opportunity to play with him until November 2006 when we began performing together and recording this record.

Since that time he, Steve Hall and I have had many great times, playing concerts, gigs and recording in whirlwind bouts. So many of those gigs were fly by the seat of your pants, no prep, no set list, just play and all that with Russel spinning his bass, and Steve playing all over the set!

A lot of the camaraderie that developed during those intense sessions resulted in a CD that truly records the genesis of the trio; with all its intensity, trepidation, integrity, and joy.

In short, we've had a great time putting this CD together; we know you'll enjoy the result.
