Zapp VI Back By Popular Demand! The group Zapp is finally back by popular demand. The new CD is vintage Zapp. It has the traditional sound, plus a 2003 freshness. Zapp is world renowned and has five gold albums and one platinum album. This one will be in running with the rest of the Zapp albums. The first single is "You've Got Mail". For all of the Zapp fans, it has been called by the DJs and distributors "Computer Love on Steroids". The CD is written and produced by the two remaining Troutman brothers, Lester and Zapp. They promised to keep the tradition and legacy of their brother Roger.

    This is a nice album by one of the most underrated funk groups:ZAPP.Smooth production by Roger's brothers Terry "Zapp" Troutman and Lester Troutman,even though there are only a few original members.The commercial sense is there, but background vocals could have been used more and more original members should have contributed.Good to hear the guys still making music and keeping the sound alive.They are definitely making Roger proud!.Hopefully,the next album is released through a major label and gets more airplay.This is a must buy for any true Zapp fan.Keep up the good work guys!!!.

    Finally, they're back!! And this cd won't disappoint the true Zapp fans! It has all the elements that made Zapp such a unique band. The stand out tracks to me are "You've got mail" (California love II), "She's 'bout to roll" (you will nod ya head for sure with this one), "this is our song to you"(moving tribute to Roger)" and "Get up off the wall" (my favorite of the album). Zapp was, is and will always be the best !If you don't know, now you know.

    All of the basic elements of the commercial Zapp are still present. What is missing is the funky percussion break downs, and the bluesy/jazzy songs. A good effort on behalf of the brothers Lester and Terry (Zapp)Troutman. I hope this is not there last Cd.

    This album is the ultimate dedication to the true Talent of my personal Hero, Roger Troutman. "You've Got Mail" really is "Computer Love, Part II", but in a very positive way. However the best slow groove on this CD to me is "I Wanna Love You", a beautiful marriage between electronic and human soul. "She's 'Bout To Roll" will keep you Rollin' without skates for sure and "Get Up Off The Wall" will send a chill down your spine like "Dance Floor" did back in 1982. "This Is Our Song To You" is an emotional experience for me and a worthy salute to Brother Roger. If I have to summarize this album in a few words, I'd say "Zapp Is Back And They're In Command!". Simply Masterful Stuff.

    Sit back and listen to this CD. When you hear Dale Degroat and Shirley Murdock on vocals, and Roger on his trademark Talk Box, this cd will take you back to the good old ZAPP days! Hope there's more to come.
