United States - With every stroke he makes on the guitar, every touch, every breath, magic is created. That sound is Latin mixed with rock, blues, funk , you name it, the sound is buried deep into his music. But it’s all in the delivery. Yes – and there’s nothing like it. That percussion definitely dominates because it is the rhythm, after all, that moves you. And that guitar playing - it is outstanding -very romantic, very dramatic, very important to the overall brand of Zaire’s music. Your body automatically begins to move when you listen to his music. And you can’t stop yourself! You just dance and you smile and know exactly why.

His name is Zaire Belage. The Stage name is ZAZA-NEWSOUND. His talent is immeasurable. The need to detail his accomplishments is not only important, it is also necessary so that you can truly understand the scale of talent we are dealing with. He is a composer, an author, an arranger and a performer of all music. Recently emigrating to the United States from France, after playing and composing for many French, African, Afro-Cuban bands. This is World Music, stemming from Spanish-Moorish, African, French and American roots. His music represents his amazing spirit. The only one of only a hand full of artists that truly can speak through his music. His story telling is quite extraordinary. He is free from the traditional categorical traps in the music industry.

His new single, “Simply Free”, is off of his new CD, “The Earth, My Country”. It is obvious to me that his music represents who he is, and that’s just fine by me. The entire CD is a compilation of his world travels and of his humanitarian work and commitment. “Freedom, for me, transcends all barriers, whether they be political, ethnic, linguistic or artistic.”

Zaire has participated in the Nyctalope release (French group, Alternative Rock) and Salamalek (Afro-Jazz Funk). He has also opened for Tony Allen and for Company Secondo Estoval, both in Paris.

Very involved, and passionate about his work, Zaire not only loves to perform on stage but also in the recording studio. “Music melts fences and makes minds soar”. Halleluiah !!
