THE PAT ZELENKA PROJECT

"The guitar is my church - Music is spirituality" Pat Zelenka

The Pat Zelenka Project is a rock/blues/funk trio hailing from Lansing Michigan. Featuring Pat Zelenka on guitar and vocals, Steve Chapko on drums and vocals, and Rich Bates on the bass, they are a band that are influenced by tons of classic blues and rock acts such as Cream, The Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Rush, Johnny Winter, Robin Trower, Hendrix, and The Beatles.

Songs by the band are featured on over thirty internet radio stations, as well as enjoying steady online sales from such sites as I-Tunes, Rhapsody, and Napster, as well as podcasts and college FM radio play.

The Pat Zelenka Project continues to rehearse and perform all over the quad-state area, and is also preparing tracks for their new CD, "Better Days", slated for a June/July 2008 release. Current sets are heavy with tunes from both their first CD "Radiosoul" and the soon to be released "Better Days", as well as classic blues and classic rock tunes. With performances scheduled throughout the Midwest into the new year, the future is looking bright for this potent trio.

This album is fantastic right out of the gate. The track "Forever" could very well become a radio classic. As ever the band is tight and they know thier stuff. Good job !

The resulting album, “Better Days,” is a mix of classic hard-rock crunch and introspective balladry......watching Steve Chapko pull off the wandering melody line of the title track while keeping time (on the drums) is worth the price of admission.
