Lonesome desert highway music
author: Ian Stanton
Wow,what a wonderful album.I\'ve been listening to this continually for about 3 months now.It\'s one of those albums that you don\'t tire of.It\'s at the same time both beautiful & haunting. It has a lo-fi sound remeniscent of early Iron & Wine and the bittersweet feel of Ryan Adams Heartbreaker but it also has an underlying darkness and a quiet desperation to each song. When I\'m playing this I often imagine a solitary rusted old car travelling down some lonesome desert highway with the heat shimmering off the road.It\'s hard to pick a favourite song because they are all so good.I can\'t recommend this album highly enough.Press add to cart now.You won\'t regret it and from what i\'ve heard over at Jeff\'s Myspace his next album could be even better. If that\'s possable.

I discvered Jeff on myspace and immediately buy his cd from the mighty cd-baby.
From what I heared on his page, I hoped the best and what can I say? it is still better than I expected.
Just a voice and a guitar. Wonderful.
I love this kind of music a lot, but, hey, it's a difficult exercice.
Can I say he's there with the best? With Dan Bern, Luka Bloom, Johan Asherton, Neal Casal, Richard Buckner, Mark Lanegan (just to name a few) or the Great Townes, of course.
By the way, buying this cd, you get an extra track by mail. A great cover of mister Van Zandt!
I must add that I was listening to those wonderful songs when a friend of mine came to see me. And he immediately felt under the charm of the music, asking me: who's that boy? It's beautiful (he said that in French of course ;-)))
You simply can't ignore Jeff's debut if you love emotional unplugged music. Great one!
