Zeromind Gets Five! Again!
author: FSA
This is a great CD following their EP, 'Ground Zero'. Their fusion of rap, rock, metal, and melodious vocals, gives me chills up my spine. The samples here are nothing compared to their full versions on the actual CD. When you buy it, try singing along with the chorus; it really enhances the affect of the music on you.

Holy Crap!

I love Linkin Park, Papa Roach, and other nu-meal bands like that. After skimming through every band that said they could equal some of nu-metal's greats, I came across Zeromind, and they blew me away! REAL heaviness, but funky rhythms and good raps come together with cool effects and turntablists and a vocalist who actually has a VOICE (not a growl).
Wow wow wow, Im gettin this cd for christmas!!! The ep is really good! Check em both out!!!

the good ol' days when rockers and rappers were singing songs together

It seems as as though Zeromind decided that today's new music just is'nt cutting it and decided to give Rap-Rock one last chane as a popular genre. Their songs sound like Killswitch Engage got confused and made another Linkin Park album - without the lameness of course. The five tracks on this EP are hard hitting and fluid, moving in and out of sick riffs and great chugs. The vocal styles are constantly changing, meaning, there's a bit of screaming, singing, and yes,,, rappin', but it keeps the songs interesting.
The production on the CD is a step above demo quality, and could definetely be improved to capture the band's sound a bit better because I know if I saw these guys live they'd sound a whole lot heavier. "Let Go" and "What's On Your Mind" are the two stronger tracks on the record, with a bit higher energy and some great guitar leads. Overall, a well built sound appealing to those who miss the good ol' days when rockers and rappers were singing songs together.
