ZN Biography

In autumn of 1996, Melky and Steve formed the Spanish rock group "Nina Menita". The music being written at the time was based on the very popular 'grunge' that had captivated the attention of millions in the early 90's. Ten years and thirteen band members later (T-bone, Welch, Chilo, Mikah, Scott, Dave, Frying-pan, Johnny, Luee, Rafa, Juancho, Baloo, and Angie) the band was reformed under a different name and sound.

Zero Nueve is composed of Stanley Aviles on drums and percussion, Steve Rosales on lead guitar, keyboard and background vocals, and Melky Aleman on lead vocals, keyboard and rhythm guitar.

Each band member plays an important role in the song writing evolution. They each incorporate their own techniques and sounds according to their influences, thus, resulting in an array of different genres of music.

ZN BIOGRAFIA

Fué en Otoño de 1996, que Melky y Steve se unieron para formar una banda de Rock en Español que denominaron: “Nina Menita”. Comenzaron a escribir música original para la banda guiados por un movimiento musical que había logrado cautivar la atención y el gusto de millones a pricipios de los 90’s. Diez años después, y con 13 miembros a lo largo de su historia, (T-bone, Welch, Chilo, Mikah, Scott, Dave, Frying-pan, Johnny, Luee, Rafa, Juancho, Baloo, and Angie) la banda se fué reformando,adoptando diferente nombre y sonido.

Actualmente la banda Zero Nueve esta compuesta por tres miembros: Stanley Aviléz en los tambores y percusión, Steve Rosales, en la guitarra lider, teclado y voces, y Melky Alemán en la voz lider, teclado y guitarra rítmica.

Cada uno de los miembros de la banda juega un papel fundamental en la evolución de la escritura de las canciones; ya que incorporan sus propias técnicas y sonidos de acuerdo a sus propias influencias, logrando así presentar diferentes géneros musicales.

The band was renamed Zero Nueve in 2001. Previous names include: Niña Eme (1999-2001), Niña Menita (1998-1999) and Drainage (1996-1998). Zero Nueve is a 3 piece composed of Stanley Aviles, Steve Rosales, and Melky Aleman.
