A NOTE FROM CONDUCTOR JACK...

Toot! Toot! Hey y'all - it's time for a "Zinghoppy Concert"! So what's a "Zinghoppy Concert"? Well, glad you asked. It's a great big ol' dance party for preschoolers. It's a parent & toddler sing-a-long. Here in Tennessee we call it a "hootenanny". It's a "roll-back-the-rug-and-watch-out-'cause-grandma's-got-her-dancin'-socks-on" concert. In other words, we're inviting your whole family to sing & hop with us. My wife Kitty & I wrote a lot of these tunes & she sings here & there on this record. Our friends Penelope, Olo & Coconuts join in on the fun. Some of our neighbors brought their instruments & stopped by because they heard there was a party goin' on. We borrowed two vintage 1944 RCA ribbon microphones from an old-timer down the road who claimed they were used on most of Bill Monroe's earliest records. We recorded this collection live in concert & straight to tape (yes, tape) with no overdubs or fancy studios - just family music made for fun the old-fashioned way. We hope you like this record - but more importantly, we hope it brings your family together and inspires you. To grab your uncle's ukulele. Dust of your grandpa's piano. Get your drums (or trombone) from the basement. Don't forget your cousin's banjo! Tune up that old guitar that's under the bed. Have a great big ol' family hootenanny of your own. Just be sure to drop us a line & let us know how your jam went!
