"In This Moment" is a fantastic recording full of positive vibe and funky smooth jazz and features 10 original tracks with styles ranging from smooth jazz, acid-jazz, and beautiful soulful ballads.

This CD is full of music that will get you grooving and soulful mellow melodies to kick back and relax with.

What's notable about this project is that the lead instrument, the flute... is one that is not always heard in the sax and guitar dominated world of smooth jazz.

Zig Noda's approach to the flute comes from an unconventional musical education. Whereas most flutists are conservatory trained, Zig is primarily a self-taught musician whose love for jazz, r&b, and contemporary music inspires him to interpret emotions through an instrument not usually used in the jazz and smooth jazz arena.

If you love smooth jazz and love the flute, you will love this CD.

Zig's musical background includes performing with musical luminaries such as Harold Todd (sax player for Lenny Kravitz), Artie Webb (legendary Latin Jazz Flutist), Eric Stiller (Los Angeles studio bassist for many artists), and the late Curtis Peagler (sax player for Ray Charles and Count Basie). He also participanted in the first jazz flute masterclass given by virtuoso flutist James Newton in 1999 in addition to receiving a scholarship to the Professional Music Program at the Berklee College of Music, but he never made it to Boston to pursue it.

In addition to playing flute, Zig is a composer and publisher member of ASCAP, and is currently working on recording and freelancing.
