Album Notes

ZO2 is a Brooklyn-based rock trio whose sound melds the funk and swagger of the 70s with modern arrangements, harmonies and lyrics. The band's sound has drawn comparisons to artists as diverse as Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin to Stone Temple Pilots and The Black Crowes

With their new CD, Casino Logic, ZO2 has released 3 albums since its inception. Their debut release, Tuesdays & Thursdays, garnered surprising attention early on when ZO2 was invited to open for Kiss and Poison on their entire 40-city national VH-1 sponsored "Rock the Nation" tour. Their second album, Ain't It Beautiful, opened the doors for ZO2 at radio with the politically charged "Isolate" and the title track "Ain't It Beautiful". Casino Logic features the single "Painted Lady" cowritten with Spin Doctors' Chris Barron. And the guest performance by Blues Travelers' John Popper enhances the humorously helpless feeling in "No Way Out".

ZO2's IFC 10-episode comedy series, Z Rock, starring the band and inspired by their real life dichotomy in which they "paid the rent" by playing for wealthy families' kids parties during the day while struggling to make it as a rock band at night, premiered in August, 2008 to rave reviews and debuted as the networks highest rated original series. In format, the series is likened to Curb Your Enthusiasm as the story lines are written but the dialogue is improvised. The show features notable guest appearances from all arms in the world of entertainment such as Joan Rivers, John Popper, Chris Jericho, Dave Attel, Dave Navarro, Daryl Hall and Gilbert Gottfried, to name a few. The Hollywood Reporter hailed Z Rock as "effortlessly, genuinely hilarious." TV Guide claims "Z Will Rock You!...In short, Z rocks!" Z Rock's second season premiered in June, 2009.
