Album Notes

Winner!!! for best Rock CD at Just Plain Folks! http://www.jpfolks.com

With echoes of ELP and CSNY, Z-Plans Pop Rock harmonies remind me of why those bands' music endures. It is just plain good.

Same can be said for Z-Plan whose songs have that classic rock quality, and sound fresh as can be in today's day and age of tired boy bands and the complete void of pop rock on the radio.

Everyone like a good song. Zplan's style tries to pull from some of the best moments in high end vocal rock, but the true test of a song isn't what the songwriters and performers tried to do, it's what those who listen to it come away with.

"I Was Blown Away" - (Musical Crossroads)

"Lush guitars, excellent harmonies, and professional arranging, Z-Plan has a fine collection of pop/rock tunes here." - (Boston Sound Check Magazine)

" These guys don't miss a note" - (Indie Journal)

"Well, well, well...every now and then a CD comes along out of nowhere and just absolutely floors you with its harmony, melody, production, and sheer musicianship." - (Heavy Harmonies)

"..they're ready to break world wide .They are simply just that good." - (Ola Granshagen, June 2000)

"...this is one of the best soft rock albums that I've ever heard." - (Hot Rock, February 2000)

"I was blown away...Major labels, are you listening?" - (Musical Crossroads, January 2000)

"I love rock. I love melody. I love great soaring harmonies. I love this CD!" - Air Music, November 1999

"Slick production and strong songwriting on songs like "So Long To Yesterday," "Guilty" and my favorite "Circus" make this a band to be reckoned with. I listen to this CD and imagine it being played right along side all the standards on classic rock today, and I wonder if programmers of those types of stations realize that there is new music of this magnitude that fits in so well, and sounds so good. I can only hope!" - (Brian Austin Whitney - Just Plain Folks)

Move over CSN&Y.... there's a new VOICE in town...Z-PLAN..

Every once in a while you peel away the plastic wrapper from the cover of the CD, pop the new disc in your player, and hit the play button. What comes next always seems to be a gamble because you never know if the money you popped for the new CD is worth your hard earned cash or not. The answer to this question hit me like a ton of bricks when I pushed the play button on my CD player. The music from Z-Plan got my attention like cold rain on a hot day. The unique vocal harmony of this band grabbed my soul and hit me like scripture. "CIRCUS" is Z-Plan's first CD and is loaded with some of the best vocal harmony your ears will ever hear. If this CD doesn't get you humming or singing along with the band, then it's time to call the Medics in and have your pulse checked. You are definitely DEAD if this doesn't get your juices flowing...... This CD is loaded with surprises and will satisfy all of your musical tastes. There are several ballads on this disc worth mentioning here. I was impressed with "Maybe","Guilty", and "Calling Out", but the song that brought mist to my eyes was "Lessons". This song is the reason I am writing this review and in my opinion, it's the best song on the CD. I must admit that I was brought up believing CSN&Y was the ultimate vocal group on the planet, that was true until I heard the sweet sound Z-Plan made when they combined their fine acoustic guitars with their gifted voices. I'm not trying to split hairs with anyone here, I'm just stating what I believe to be true from my own point of view. I have listened to this CD so much that I'm not sure which will wear out first, the disc itself or the replay button on my machine.... If your musical taste centers around outstanding musicianship and excellent vocal harmony then Z-Plan has got to be added to your CD collection. All the ballads on this disc are great and if you need to kick out the jams and ROCK, then listen to the tenth cut, "Part Of A Dream" and let music rock your soul. Don't let this CD slip past your fingers, click on the "BUY IT" button and order "CIRCUS" now, it's that GOOD.......BOB PEPPLER
