These are a few words that describe Alaskan-raised singer/songwriter Shawn Zuke and her music. Her songs reflect her upbringing in the great Alaskan wilderness with her lyrics echoing a union between earth and self, body and soul, and listener and song. She never fails to draw a crowd whether she's playing guitar, flute, didgeridoo or the drums. Her vision is to raise the consciousness of herself, family and community through music, dance, and connection to the environment.

Shawn is currently releasing her debut solo CD "Of The Light". Included on the CD is a music video filmed at Beluga Point, the Knik River, Mt. Denali and Girdwood, Alaska. Featured in the video is a special appearance by a special Alaskan goddess, Alex(andra) Zuke.

In Alaska, Shawn performs at venues such as the Coffee Grounds, Organic Oasis, Kaladi Brothers, and Snow City Café as well as the Anchorage Folk Festival and other folk festivals across the state. Her new CD has already received considerable air play on many Alaskan and West Coast radio stations and Shawn can now be found on tour along the West Coast (see Shawn's tour schedule at her website).
