"The covers go very well together with the originals. The songs follow each other in a logical way, like a string of pearls, each -faster or slower- telling a part of a long story. A story in music. A story that touches the heart." - Johanna J. Bodde

What is it about Paul Zunno's music that makes it great? For me, it's the authenticity of his voice, straight-forward yet catchy melodies, and the feeling you get when you close your eyes and picture the scenes he creates in his songs. Paul has a keen ear and a wonderful voice that pierces the soul and reminds you of your life experiences, good amd bad. A true disciple of blues, Paul infuses energy and emotion into every song. Get this album, and go see him when you can- you will not be disappointed.

It will draw you in

As usual, yet another production from this artist that will draw you in. This is the core of Paul's talent, to always leave you wanting more. You listen to Jolene knowing full well that it should be sung by a female, yet you can't tear yourself away. After almost 20 years listening to Paul perform, its his tender/gritty voice that weaves the web, as most beautifully showcased in Hold Me Up. The haunting tone of Baby Please is an excellent example of the level of intimacy Paul often achieves in his music, as he does again in My Girl. As is typical, Paul is rock solid in covers such as Love Me Two Times and All Along the Watchtower, infusing a freshness while maintaining the classic nature of the songs. Buy this CD and you *will* be drawn in to the gritty, sticky, tender web of Paul Zunno.

Paul Zunno offers a generous compilation of unique diversity.

This CD is a generous compilation of the unique diversity that Paul Zunno displays when you see him perform. His spirituality flows from his hands and his voice, sending out a full range of emotional creativity which captures the listener as if it's a live performance. Love Me Two Times and All Along The Watchtower are amazingly played. Sweet Charity, Hold Me Up and Jesus Gonna Be Here send out messages of faith and positive energy. Jolene has been recorded by various female artists and kudos to Paul to be a rare male exception. Each intsrumental is unique. Mexico's beat throbs through your veins, Buzzin' gives you a dose of high energy and Chyosan could be a prelude to a meditation. This CD will appeal to anyone who likes an assortment of covers and whoever likes to listen to folk-rock, blues inspired originals that offer an insider's look into life's many challenges. For me, the nicest part of this CD is whenever I listen to Chyosan~I think I am hearing an Angel playing her harp in the background.....
