Emerging out of LA with a compelling debut EP ZUU (formerly ZU) delivers anything but a predictable sound.
At once hauntingly dreamy and hard driven the band melds eerie overtones and swirling feedbacks over hypnotic melodies to create psychedelia the sound of which signals the beginning of a new musical era.
ZUU encompasses a world created to challenge today's notion of popular music while at the same time not alienating itself from mass commercial appeal. With a dynamically explosive live show to back them up ZUU is set out to make a dent in the music world as well as on your mind. The ZUU LP can also be purchased on ITunes as well as all other major digital download sites. While the official website www.zuumusic.net is under construction please visit www.myspace.com/zuu for updated information on ZUU and their highly anticipated 2nd album which is due for release in early SPRING 2009

-Delusions of Adequacy (D.O.A.)
"This album should start populating radio. It's deep, it's heavy, it's melodic, but it's got creativity. Zuu is pioneering something here by tying all the musical ages together into one product. It's pleasing to the critic and mildly challenging to the public. It's virtually a perfect setup!" -Stephen C.

"Emo fans might want to be sitting down, hanging on to something. With a curious way of being stripped down, acoustic, haunting emo but yet dreamy, resonant, and reverberating at the same time, this blissfully melancholy rock with the "depressed male singer" quality down to a tee, is no less than epic for the soft at heart. Moody, vulnerable and poignantly proud, dripping with nostalgia, broken-hearted, lovelorn wisdom, Zu melds the eerie overtones and swirling feedbacks over hypnotic melodies to create psychedelia with edge."

"Psychedelic trippy music from this Los Angeles based outfit. It's a little left of center but that might just be what the world needs right now"
