To use an old saying,I think it is a real trip of a record set.

"Trip" sounds just like it's name ,echoes of inner and outer sounds reverberate through the whole piece finally settling into a peaceful song....like a returning to a more peaceful reality.

"Flip Out" seems to be about "childhood innocence". Is it lost or found by the piece's ending....I guess it is found because all the sounds used to make the construct are heard un-touched by effects in the end.

"Medidtation" ,to me,seems the most "musical" of the three discs,...meaning the least "concrete" and tuneful.  Again echoes of musical pieces and sounds make for a return to "earth" or "grounding" after the flights of fantasy of the first two discs.

It's nice to have the two more traditional pieces at the end of this side(even though I know that's not how the LP set ran). They make for the completion of the cycle in my mind's eye.  For me they are like the simple statements of purpose hiding at the long journey's ending.

I've got to say the whole package - art music and all is a grand achievement for Zweistein and Captain Trip Records!  There's no expense spared on presenting this in all of it's glory.

First ever CD reissue of one of the most extreme Krautrock-era albums ever made. Originally released by Philips Germany in 1970, the triple LP edition came in an elaborate mirror sleeve and has been near-impossible to find for 35+ years; there have been a handful of suggested reissues over the years, but finally Captain Trip has brought it to fruition, in collaboration with founding member Suzanne Doucet. Incredible fold out packaging emulates the original, with front embossing and silver-foil printing on the quadruple fold-out jacket. Zweistein were a trio of Jacques Dorian, Suzanne Doucet and Diane Doucet. This perfectly done reissue (including 2 bonus tracks from their single at the end of disc 3) is heavily anticipated." - FE.
