Album Notes

IF YOU LIKED "SHAKE IT DON'T BREAK IT" BY CHRIS BELLEAU AND THE ZYDECO HOUNDS THEN CHECK THIS OUT:

......more Lousiana swamp music. This CD stirs up Cajun, Zydeco, Blues, Swamp Pop, and Jazz. The songs are new and original (except for Clifton Chenier's Hot Tamale Baby) and the playing is probably like something you've never really heard before.

CHRIS BELLEAU sings, plays cajun accordian, harmonica, and trombone. He has recorded with GATEMOUTH BROWN, CHARLIE RICH, IRMA THOMAS and has performed from BOURBON STREET to AUSTIN CITY LIMITS.

Tenor saxophonist JON SMITH (BOOGIE KINGS, WHITE TRASH, TOTO) provides sax fills and solos. If you remember EDGAR WINTER'S WHITE TRASH HORNS you get an idea how knocked-out the Hounds' horns are.

Legendary Bass man JOE OSBORN is the surprise here. For three decades Joe topped the Los Angeles and Nashville studio scenes. Part of the fabled "WRECKING CREW" with HAL BLAINE, Joe has played on more hits than any other Bass Player!!!! And now he's recorded with these South Louisiana musicians, cooking up one of the finest blends of Louisiana Roots music ever.

AL COUROULEAU plays Texas-style guitar rhythms and slide. RICHARD COURTNEY slaps and snaps the drums with funky zydeco rubboard beats. WENDELL TILLEY contributes mandolin, guitar fills and engineering for the album. These are seasoned veterans of the Louisiana "crawfish circuit".

Like all good South Louisiana music its about dancing and having a good time......don't forget to play it loud!
