notes

Hailing from the small town of Wynne, Arkansas comes The Chauceriin, also known as Bryian R., with his new release called "The Wall/Epitaph Remixes". The Chauceriin takes you on a musical journey through his thoughts, his dreams, his nightmares, his hopes, his anger, his sadness, and most of all his pain, with what he has come to call "New Hop, The Black Alternative".
The Chauceriin started his musical interests back in 1986 when he was merely in the nineth grade, as he wrote songs for the up and coming block MCs who batteled on a daily basis. He performed in numerous talent shows around the area, and became the first African-American, and the first hip hop artist, to win the talent show in his high school's history with the group Task Force, which consisted of Mark L. Williams, James Davis, and Mardell "D-Rock" Davis, who appears on the album cover of The Wall. The Chauceriin also recorded two albums with the group Epitaph, which he co-founded with members Alvin "Double A" Brown and Reggie "Skanlz" Watson. The potent and always dangerous freestyler Jeramy "Macrophonic MC" Martin was also a member. In 2002, their album "From the Underground Up" was reviewed by MurderDog magazine, where it received three nuts out of five despite being unsigned to a major or minor label. Some of the songs featured in that review are on second disc called the Epitaph Remixes.
The Wall was produced in Jonesboro, Arkansas by Jimmy "F-Troop" Martin Jr. and Bryian Revoner. The talented Jimmy Martin Jr. also sang, rapped, and played most of the instruments. Keith Vivrette also produced tracks on the album at the famed Studio V. Other guest appearances include, the skillful Brett Walzer, the bluesy Carl Holden, the crafty Brett Williams, Memphis' own Tutone and Zahn Barlow, Dirt Cheap, Rod "Dodge" McDaniel and the Wynne M.O.B. click.
If I had to sum up this album, I would have to say this. Some of it's meant to be pumped, and some of it's meant to be played. Sit back and allow your ears and your mind make the call.

    author: Beautiful_Sinsation

Its great. My favourite line would be the one about ladies feet - if you feet aint pretty i will treat you shitty... one for the ladies is the second last one - very spiritual... Well done Bry. Lova ya.

  • Keeps you in the fast lane
    author: DJ Tyrrell

Very nice, I like it. It's beats sync into the pace of the music perfectly. It's great, although it could use some more theming to the music's lyrics.

  • auxilerating, deep, rare talent that keeps you through entire album.
author: Manuel D. Virata, CEO HaffBlood Entertainment

This is one of those rare albums that keep you tuned from the moment you start playing it. Not just one or two songs on the album like most, The Chauceriin: The Wall/Epitaph Remixes had me from the get go. I had my mind made up to buy myself a copy after the first 3 songs, and after I listened to the rest, I was completely sold. The Wall theme is a deep and emotional Epitaph,(Pun Intended)that reflects the album as a whole. This album is truly an inspiration to all.

  • Hot Shit! Gonna Blow Up!
    author: Romeo, Scotland, UK

God Damn! This is some hot stuff. Won't be long 'till these guys blow up. Some of the tracks remind me of Run DMC. Is that just me? Sounds almost Old Skool. All the flows are crisp, beat's hot and the lyrics are tight! Sounds to me like the underground still got it. UK! What up!

  • The Wall is kickass, Good Luck,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
    author: Randy Williams

I was asked to review the wall and I loved it.Comming from someone who isnt much into rap or hip hop I think this song kicks some serious ass and these guys show a lot of tallent. I am from wynne, and for me to like this song says a lot. I am heavy in blues, r&b and heavy metal, but when I hear something I like, it doesnt matter the style. Good luck man, I wish you guys all the luck in the world, You have the tallent to go far...............

  • I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

All I can say is WOW! What an amazing album, we all knew Bry was the man when it came to lyrics and now its a proven fact. If yall don't belive me then check it out cause it sure won't disappoint.

  • Best cd I have heard in a long time.
    author: Leah ; Atlanta, GA

This cd really moved me in a special way. I could relate to alot of the music on this disk. It would not surprise me if all of you guys hit it big. Why is this shit not on the radio especially the songs "Epitaph acoustic mix" and the End is Coming. From what I could hear the guitar parts were put together skillfully and with a very professional like quality on those two tracks exclusively. And in a way this cd cover makes a statement combining both black and white together is truly an inspiration to stop racism. Thanks for letting me review it is truly an honor. I hope to hear more from this band in upcoming months.

  • Innovative Sounds Mixed With Thought Provoking Lyrics
    author: Jennifer - Southern Connecticut

It has been an amazing pleasure to listen to such a refreshing album. This album belongs in a genre of it its own, as the artists involved in its conception blended the rap, harmonies and instrumentation in such a unique manner without jepordizing the quality of the music. Many artists stick to a specific style when compiling an album. The variety displayed here allows something for everyone to enjoy. From the poignant words in Glimmer of Hope and The Wall to the comedic Git Ya Feet Str8ght (that's me Bry!), my ears were delighted by the music. Groove On got me groovin to get the housework done too! Amazing work by all involved. Keep it coming.

  • very good acustics, rythm and words are easy to understand and i am not a rap fa
    author: CowBoyfromCal

the CD is chrisp and clear, no hesitation or fuzz. I will recommend this tune to my friends. Very good background pickup..............

  • The deepest tunes I've heard since Tupac.
    author: Lisa Marie - Wisconsin

This CD is definately different from anything I've ever heard before. It's not as gangsta as Tupac, but the words have just as much meaning and emotion. You can't stop at just one song. It's addicting! It's like Nelly, Tupac and Chingy all rolled into one (at least, that's my opinion).

  • omg..this is the BEST CD i've heard in a long time...bravo...jus fucken great..B
    author: snowbunny...Wisconsin

this CD will be in the top 10...i truly feelin these songs...good job!...my fav..wanna be free...and many more!..yall gotta check it out!

  • The album is an alternative dark poetic rap album and it is the best album.
    author: Kings Garden Publishing

This is one of the best album that this company had a chance to review. The album is an extension of the group and the best is one of the best albums that this group has made. I do not think any other artist can compare to its music. The songs are an attractive style type of music. The music itself is bold and beautiful. These artist put their heart and soul into this recording. I think these are new artist that deserve the spot light and Kings Garden Publishing was please to except the offer in listen to the music. Thanks again for the music, it is great to meet new artist with multi-talented young men. This album will take all of you far. Thanks Bryian P. S.: Jeremiah really love the style of music. He is one of the songwriters that listen to the music and he thought it was great. Good Job.

    author: mrdaylan

Im from Chicago and I get tired of hearing all the music that sounds the same withall the artists working together and u have to buy 4 cd'x to get all the cuts and they only have 1 cut on them. This cd takes me back to the ole skool and occassionally I like to listen to new skool and 14 brings that to me

  • D-Lish! I can't decide which is my favorite!
    author: September (LA, CA)

You have a sound that is similar to "dem fif ward boys" like you are down wit 'em yet you have your own unique style. I especially like the rock and let me tell you NOT all hip hop artists can get away with it. (and I am NOT a rock fan). I am fast becoming a Bryian R fan...umm...where is the sign up sheet for the fan club?

  • author: sam

sounds good .. gives a good mix of different styles in one place

  • Great lyrics, good blend of soft & raw sounds. Definately innovative.
    author: Annika S.L.C. UT

I liked how the cd had a blend of sounds, hard, and soft and the lyrics were honest and creative. I also liked the humor on a couple of the tracks. Great new sound that grew on me the longer I listened.

  • YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!! GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL.

    author: Jacqueline Scotland, UK

The different styles displayed on this album gave it something that almost all people would enjoy no matter what type of music is there thing. The words reached out and touched you I found myself lying back just taking in the lyrics. The Epitaph/accoustic ROCKED

  • AMAZING CD FROM BEGINNING TO END
    author: Christy from NJ

This cd has it all...wonderful music and some thought provoking lyrics. Since hearing it for the first time I haven't stopped.

  • Each song on this CD tugs at one emotion or another
    author: Earthie

The songs that touched me most are: The Battle of Bryian_R which evoked anger; Glimmer of Hope: though-provoking in that it makes one understand there is always that little ray of light; Back 2 U: says what we all felt from one time or another; Epitaph(s): prayerful, soulful, lovely! Each one tugged at a different emotion, but SOME emotion nonetheless. Listen and understand the point each song is making.

  • DAMN VERY DIFFERENT BUT VERY GOOD
    author: GET CRUNK RECORDS

If William Hung can get sighned you wont believe what they could do,epitaph{ecoustic remix),groove on,the end is comming, great songs they are the best i have heard in a while

  • Ingenious guitar work and rap from Brett Walzer and Bryian Revoner
    author: Andrea from Seattle WA

Best new rap cd ever!! Brett Walzer is an ingenious new guitar player with unmeasurable skill and easy on the eyes as well :) With that matched with Bryian Revoners rap ability, the Acoustic and just rap on "epitaph acoustic mix" you have a hit cd when combined with all of the other dope guests on the cd and the brilliant solo on "The End is Coming". Sony or some great label should definitely sign them.

  • That is some very interesting music right thurr!
    author: Big Balla Records

Most of our artists are more on the gangsta tip, but the song Glimmer of Hope caught my ear. Those Oooos in that song remind me of angels singing thru da clouds, and that hook was real emotional and all. I'm feelin it!

  • ''Great CD it is truly remarkable the songs have great meanings''
    author: Blake

All the songs on these CD's have great reasons The Wall is about september 11, Epitaph is my personal favorite great song i think all of the people tat like different kinds of music should definatly check this out.

    author: Ms. Sexxy

When I heard the Epitaph[Acoustic], I thought it was going to be a country song at first, but then they started flowin on it. That threw me completely for a loop. I give it my hip hop approval.

  • I don't believe the majority of peeps on hurr have actually heard what this guy
    author: Daniel "Guitar" Williams

The song about September 11 called The Wall is remarkable! I was impressed with the lyrics, the soulful singing, and the climatic guitar solo that seems to weep away into the night. Didn't know hip hop could do that!

  • it was super i smell upcoming artist group

  • I truly enjoyed this album.
    author: Michelle

I truly enjoyed listening to this CD. The lyrics and beats popped! It's something I could listen to on a daily basis.
