notes
From the Club Congress website:
This isn't the same David D'alessio who served as the lead singer of Let's English. Well, he is, technically, the same person but the sound is so completely different that we're looking at him in a whole new light. After retreating to sunny Florida & working with musicians that otherwise lend their talent to Latin superstars Shakira, Ricky Martin & Enrique Iglesias, D'alessio now has a full-length album of his very own. Impressive, huh? songs to undress your ego is, quite honestly, a fully-enjoyable experience. Best described as singer-songwriter folk in the style of Jeff Buckley, backed with Latin infused instrumentals, & themed in the carefree, reflective style of Donovan Frankenreiter or Jack Johnson - this is our summer soundtrack.

Beautiful music, really beautiful
author: BreannaBeautiful music David, really beautiful. Songwriting/singing abilities like David's are a rare find these days. His smooth tenor voice and guitar playing abilities make this CD a pleasure to listen to over and over again. David's songs have are soulful, have great depth and always evoke emotion. Congratulations!
Stunning!
author: Liz RAs a big fan of Let's English, I did not know what to expect on the new cd. I was amazed by David's work and am proud to add this to my collection. The music sits in my mind and replays itself during the day, which is welcomed. Great cd .

Undressed MY ego!
author: Michael Di GregorioHats off to David D'Alessio et al. for such a beautifully put together CD! Smooth vocals and emotive lyrics fit nicely with the choice of instruments (guitar, fiddle, bass). 'Blackout' and 'If I Could' are at the top of my "Gym" I-tunes playlist.
Interesting, but I like it
author: Don JenkinsNot generally being a fan of the "singer/songwriter" genre, I actually enjoyed most of this CD. There were a few songs that I could have left out, but on the other hand, I really liked Salt and Love is on the Way. Overall, good job to David.
Beautiful voice -- reminiscient of Damien Rice
author: JessicaThis CD has some amazing songs on it. I enjoyed his voice and the compositions of his songs. He is a true lyricist and poet. Five stars for this singer/songwriter.
My Summer Of 2007 Soundtrack
author: Brent LeedsDavid D'alessio's Songs To Undress Your Ego may very well become my summer of 2007 soundtrack. I'm drawn back to the music again and again, and enjoy it more each time. The songwriting, musicianship, and production on this independent release are excellent. The songs are strong from beginning to end. Highly recommended!
This is a very interesting and refreshing album.
