TEXAS WORLD MUSIC CONCERTS PRESENT
DAWSON'S NEW RAGE
VIRTUOSO PIANO ROCK N' ROLL FROM TEXAS WITH JAZZ SOUL
"Dawson's diverse influences make his music a refreshing change" Chris Bell - Producer, NARAS Texas Chapter President
"In an era of synthetic disposable musical artists, Dawson is the real thing! His musical palette is wide and diverse. What makes his work so unique and distinct are the sophistication of his musical arrangements. This is a REAL musician, with very strong chops. In addition, he surrounds himself with the best session players on his CD "Dawson's New Rage" If you are looking for REAL Music played by great players, check this CD out ASAP".
Ritch Esra - Music Business Registry
"Ready to bust out" - Dallas Morning News
Producer / performing artist DAWSON has released the CD " Dawson's New Rage."
Depending on the venue size, Dawson's New Rage changes size between an intimate piano/percussion duo, a four-piece rock nucleus, and a twelve-piece knockout. While belting out his blues tinged vocals, Texas based Dawson performs virtuoso piano and electric guitar. His musical explorations with classical piano, electronic, and jazz create songs that tell stories, discuss current affairs, and celebrate simple pleasures of life. Using music of Steely Dan and Carlos Santana as his launch pad, Dawson takes listeners south of the Texas border adding Latin jazz and art rock to the musical mix. Critics and audiences agree: Dawson's New Rage rocks with jazz soul.
As the visionary of the performance arts collective Texas World Music Concerts, Dawson's worked with engineer/producers Tye Robison (Eleanor Digs Me, The Nixons) and Chris Bell (U2, Polyphonic Spree). Television, radio, and film producers of the southwest have featured Dawson and he often works with Chicago saxophonist/composer Mitch Paliga and Texas trumpet legend Steve Howard. Others are producer Larry Spencer, composer Kim Corbet, and the saxophonist/composer Lee Schloss.
"Never forget the joy music gives us and recognize that the art of sound unites people of the earth." - DAWSON

author: Seth SharpThank goodnes theirs someone out there putting out some refreshing Jazz that doesn't pound out the same beats and re-worked tunes for the 100th time. New Rage does a great job, the opening track instantly grabs your attention.
