Leviathan is a big word for whale, or giant sea creature, a fitting title for a record of songs about the things that are bigger than us, love, loss, history and the ocean. Deblois is an acoustic musician based in Miami Florida. From 2001 to 2005 she lived in a small coastal town in Costa Rica wood-shedding and honing her craft of original music. Many of the songs on Leviathan, her debut album, come from this period in her life and reflect the ocean and the waves. While in Costa Rica she organized and ran a surf school called Sweetwater, teaching beginners how to surf and spending her evenings singing in the local cantinas. Now back in South Florida she has a band that includes drums, bass and saxaphone. The folks who like to listen to her have alot to say about this talented and dynamic performer:

With lyrics like "watch the sun king taken off his crown, and I would give you the stars one by one stay here sugar till morning comes". Deblois is an amazing song writer. I saw her play in Ft.lauderdale once and even the homeless people were putting tips in her tip bucket,unbelievable. She will be/is a Super Star Diva. Sexy, Smart,Surfs, Sings from the heart with blue, blue eyes & smile to die 4 I love this chick

It's surprising to find someone with this much talent that you haven't heard of, but if this record is any indication of things to come, you will. these songs are little gems that fill up the emotional rainbow and leave a mark.

I saw DeBlois play in San Antonio Texas, and I can't remember the last time I walked away from a concert saying "Wow!" Not only sexy, but talented. I bought a copy of Leviathan, and if you are a music lover on any level then you will certainly enjoy this cd.
