A concept album, telling a fairytale with the help of music. Dubby, spherical, deep, charming music for dreaming and leaving reality behind.

notes

"Dreams Of A Lost Soul" is an album release on Dub Flash Records featuring 15 tracks from the label’s mastermind Dub Rogue himself featuring some friendly guests: Sister Nadia (Netherlands), Ute, Lingo, Dieb In Dub (all from Berlin) and the Finnish rap crew HaHoHullua. The CD is 79 minutes and a few seconds long!

The idea of the album came in a dream and surprisingly it is not a heavyweight stepping dub album as you could expect from the Dub Flash label but instead it is a chill-out, spherical, meditative, dreamy but still very dubby experience.

Music from an outer space spellcaster. From a dreamer. For dreamers.

“Dreams Of A Lost Soul” is a concept album. It is kitschy and clichéd. It’s a wannabe-fairytale and the songs are separated into single dreams which, combined together, tell the story of a young prince who experiences a special adventure:

He lost his “melody of life” and wants to get it back. It remains unclear what a “melody of life” is. In fact, the interpretation shall be made by the listener. To make it easier, the story is written down in the booklet. But still, it is up to you to make up your own mind. Let the music guide you and have a relaxed time.

Enjoy the album. It’s easy-going. It’s friendly. It’s cool. It’s science-fiction. It’s fantasy. It’s fictitous. It’s just some music, seen…
