It's always interesting to see how other musicians translate the music of Duran Duran, with "Glue" the results are nothing short of surprising. The ill-concieved punk/ska tribute and Austrailian band packages are blown away by "Glue." The obscurer song choices (Shelter," "Don't Talk Much") play to the strengths of each of the artists. One stand out track "Palomino" by Frances L. Paliotta, sounds as if Nico returned the favor when Duran Duran covered "Femme Fatale." The music of Duran Duran will endure. "Glue" will solidify any Duranie's obsessive fascination.

  • Fantastic Tribute to an Outstanding Band

I thoroughly enjoyed this cd, it is definitely the better of the Duran Duran tributes out there. The outstanding track has to be Dana Muse's cover of Don't Talk Much, I could listen to it again and again.

  • Loved it, the B-Side factor gives it extra plus-marks

Fun to be had by all. Duranies everywhere should get a great kick out of this CD. I liked the fact that the B-Sides were represented here, although I could have done with less repetition (girls on film; secret oktober; the chauffer). Not saying that all tracks were not knockouts, just that maybe a little more coordination with the artists to ensure no repeats happened (DDs catalog is huge). Dana Detricks "Demolition Suite" really stands out as does Fantastic Elastic's version of "Careless Memories" - this is how it might have sounded if Gary Numan had written it. Highly recommended by this picky bastard!

Just wanted to say that this CD is pretty good. Some tracks are definately dogs but the track by Anna Swank is a standout!

I just picked the CD up last week (along with Simon Apple) from CD Baby. Arcanum rocks! The first 6 tracks are also pretty good! -Michele

Glue is a really great tribute CD, because it's done by fans! There are some superb standout tracks by Dana Muse, Dana Detrick, and Anthony Resta. I'm not saying every track is perfect, but even the few that aren't too great are still fun to listen to! For $10, you can't go wrong! I am proud of the artists who contributed, and I know I will be hearing a lot from some of them in the future! Michele
