notes
Described as having "one foot in the 30's and one foot on Mars," The DeLuxe Vaudeville Orchestra is the ultimate self-contained Vaudeville show band. A DVO concert performance includes a selection of tangos, European and Latin dance music, show tunes, music from the Swing Era, and contemporary music arranged for our unique instrumentation, which includes: accordion, washtub bass (really), violin, banjo, guitar, trumpet, euphonium, saxophone, percussion, and vocals. Vaudeville turns encompass all manner of object manipulation including balls, rings, scarves, clubs, plates, and Yo-Yo's, as well as "LaBanana's World-Renown Essential Tango Lesson" and "Semaphore at Taxpayers Expense."

unique, fun, and so very catchy
author: Todd WarnerExcellent CD. It's definately music that will take you back, yet, has a really nice "freshness" about it. They chose a great selection of music that they nicely arranged. All the musicians are top-notch to include a spectacular vocalist. I find myself playing it over and over again. Big band-ish, vaudevillian, latin, jazz, tango fun with a dash of oom-pah. Love it!
Fun! Fun! Fun! and not a moment too soon.
author: Jim MoonThis is one fun listen. Play it often and play it loud. I hunt down the big band sound and travel to distant places to hear the GMO types. But DVO is a pleasant diversion into the minds of it's artists and the result is a super CD full of one heck of a good time! Well done!
fun, musical, cheery - performers have fun, too
author: Elon LundquistI bought this because of exposure to Main Squeeze. The professional accordianist is great. This cd is good fun. I'd like another in this genre and certainly another by Rodger French
