Eleni is Greek for Helen, Elaine and Lane.
In this case the artists professional name is Lane Brody. She uses her given name for this project becasue this is the music she first learned.
Eleni was born in Oak Park IL, right outside of Chicago. She became a top jingle singer, and model in Chicago.
She later became the first female in country to have an Oscar-nominated hit from a soundtrack album, "Over You" from "Tender Mercies".
She's been Emmy nominated for her songs and performances, and is also a writer and performer in an American Film Festival winning documentary.
She was a quest star on the legendary tv series, Taxi, as well as starring in an ABC movie of the week.
