I put DEAD BIRD SONGS together while living and performing in san francisco, so if you're from the bay area you might be familiar with some of the music...the cd was recorded at El Mundo Bueno studios in san fran with the help of Winter...the songs were written at a time when I was starting my whole life over in a new city and are in many ways small biographs and letters to those who i've been close with. I'm also pleased to announce that I have a new album out entitled VARIATIONS ON A THEME OF POP MUSIC which is available only on myspace for only a $5 donation to a great non-profit organization- Project Jambo....

    Dead Bird Songs is the only thing I can listen to anymore! The melodies and the lyrics, the emotions, the sheer beauty of his voice: everything I thought I knew about music is out the window. His unique style seems to capture everything that has ever been good about music, it is absolutley timeless. I was beginning to think no one could create a new sound, but Eric Moore has done it.

    Every song on this CD is full of emotion and true heart. Dead Bird and Run are a couple of my favorites, also 1910. Eric's voice rings with true honesty and emotion in his songs, and his guitar playing will always be a favorite. Good luck Eric!

    Dead Bird Songs by Eric Moore is the most moving cd I have listened to in ages. I went from dancing joyfully around my kitchen while listening to Turnagain, to crying as I listened to Dead Birds. You can tell that Eric pours his heart into every single song. When I listen to the cd, I can almost feel him in the room with me, sitting on the floor with his guitar, smoking his cigarette. I hope that he will continue to make such moving music. I am eagerly awaiting more.

    I really enjoyed listening to the songs, especially track 1,4 and 9. I like that the songs do not sound redundant as you get with some artists. The music is uplifting and a joy to listen to you can feel the emotion pour out in everyone of Erics songs. I would definitely recommend this CD.
